Give us your forgotten KOKOworld clothes until the end of February and receive a €20 voucher for your next shopping. The clothes may have minor defects, holes, but they must be suitable for alteration and re-sale.
In collaboration with artists and craftsmen, we will pimp up your clothes and upcycle them.
The total income from the re-sale of the clothes will help equip a community sewing room that is being established by talented Afghan refugees Milad (20 years old) and Suleiman (27 years old).
KOKOworld creates clothes that last for years. Thanks to high-quality fabrics and craftsmanship, our products resist both short-term trends, as well as the march of time. Therefore they are perfect for upcycling: stitching, sewing, embroidery, patchwork and redesign. We want to make the most of them!
We believe that what is good can last for years. KOKOworld old clothes will be refreshed using various techniques, all supervised by our Repair Team, supported by fashion visionaries, including artists famous for their interest in upcycling. The result? Unique new-old clothes. The activities of the team and the invited guests will inspire us all. Together we will create tutorials full of ideas of easy and creative alterations of old or damaged clothes.
Following our social media and published materials, everyone will be able to repair unworn clothes or give them a new life.
You can do it yourself or with the help of your seamstresses. The place of clothes is not at the bottom of a wardrobe, nor in a dustbin – our clothes should land under a sewing machine or a needle and thread instead.
It is easy! You can join the campaign in 3 steps: Return - Re-view - Repair

We want to invite people in crisis to join us in renovating clothes, thus enabling them to gain valuable professional skills. This year, due to the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, people in refugee crisis will be embraced with the project. With the funds raised in the #KOKOrepair campaign we want to buy sewing machines and equip a social cooperative run by Afghan migrants in Wrocław. We will transfer the collected funds to the account of the Dom Pokoju Foundation, which has agreed to open a special account for this purpose.
It is there that many people in refugee crisis will be able to acquire new professional skills that will allow them to find work in Poland.
The Kazimi family from Afghanistan will be the first beneficiary of the project.
Suleiman is 27 years old and worked as a reporter in Afghanistan for 3 years. He also has an amazing flair for sewing – for 6 years he was sewing beautiful women's handbags. He is the one who will participate in the first edition of the project and help us renovate clothes in the frames of #KOKOrepair campaign.
Suleiman came to Poland together with his family: Mohammad Wali (56 years old), Aziza (50 years old), Milad (20 years old).
